Norfolk is rich with heritage, and not least are it’s windpumps. The windpump at Horsey is currently undergoing extensive restoration – why not visit with a picnic and take a look? With 3 phases set to restore the pump to its former glory, the surrounding area is a beautiful place to have a picnic. There are also some fantastic walks nearby if you fancy burning off lunch!

With lots of spots around the park to enjoy a nice picnic, you can also see lots of exotic animals whose conservation status are being helped by Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens. There is also a gorgeous Willow Pattern Garden to explore, with lots of waterfowl to see!
The perfect place for a beach picnic, Winterton-on-Sea features beach dunes and grassy banks, and if you’re lucky you may even spot a seal or two! Located next door to Hemsby, this is a short 5-minute drive from Seacroft Holiday Village, or if you like walking you could walk along the beach for around half an hour – there’s nothing like a coastal walk before a delicious beach picnic!
